Present day, present time

The Neon Wired is a fan shrine for the 1998 anime series Serial Experiments Lain, which follows the journey of Lain Iwakura.

Lain is an introverted fourteen-year-old girl in suburban Japan who receives an email from a dead classmate. Chisa's message says she did not die; that she is only in the Wired. As Lain begins to explore the Wired, the line between the network and the body starts to fail.
